Chris@BlueElephant
Alright, so heres the details on the magazine: Its going to be a web-based magazine (to start off) but its going to be made into a flash program so that it will FEEL like a magazine when you are reading it online. It will also have interective features (links within the magazine). The website will be subscription based (the same price as a hardcopy magazine would normally be) but you will be able to access it from any computer, print out any articles you want (certerfolds hint hint) and will get a much better value for your money. In the future,we are looking into getting this magazine into stores where High Times is sold, but it really depends on the amount of interest we receive from the mag. If anyone has suggestions for it in the future, just hit us up. We'd like to keep it "open forum" mag with everyones input to keep it interesting. Johnny_D
Interesting...Can you divulge the expected subscription costs?JD
Elky
While some are slod be Aesop rock or something, The fact that Lower Class Brats are involved in hookah subculture just blows my mind. I have been waiting for this day
Chris@BlueElephant
Yeah, worst case scenario... $5 a month (or cheaper with year subscription). Best case scenario... $4.99 a month. haha Nah I'm playing but we really haven't figured that all out yet. The more people who subscribe, the cheaper we will be able to bring down the cost. Oh, and for Elky... This is for you buddy.

Blue Elephant Magazine
Hey guys, about the cost:As I said, no worries on the first issue as we'll put that up for free. Depending on how things go, it will actually be MUCH cheaper than a regular mag -- we'll start taking subscription after the launch and let you all know the deal.We decided to start online for a few reasons -- we want everyone to be able to read it, whether you live in America or the UK or Uzbekestan, we want you to be able to read it if you don't have specialty newstands nearby, and even if you're traveling/homeless or don't have a computer -- you can access the mag on a public library computer. Universal Inclusion is the key. We're excited for the launch, it's coming up. Mark your calendars!

Chris@BlueElephant
I've had some questions about the website and designs come up and I wanted to get some info from you guys. How many of you guys would prefer a site in flash, and how many in HTML/Flash?
high_society
As a web designer I would have to say having your site completely in flash is not the best idea. Go for a great blend of both flash and html
iamscott06
I'll go ahead and vote flash/html

How many of you guys would prefer a site in flash, and how many in HTML/Flash?Either, but most of all I'd prefer to be able to download a PDF file, that way I could print it out because with magazines I really prefer to be able to read them on the go (ie: on the bus or killing time between classes at college) you know, when a computer isn't as readily available, and PDF's are great for that
